Premises liability refers to the liability of an owner of land, a building, or other like properties if one should become injured while on their premises. Under Florida Law, the business owner or operator is legally responsible for another person’s injuries if they knew, or should have known, about the dangerous condition that led to the injury, and failed to repair or clean the location. In addition, businesses can be legally responsible for negligent modes of operation if the way in which they run their business causes an injury or loss.
